Education Support Initiative – January 2026
Kinship Canada, in partnership with The Desk and Chair Foundation, has supported 1,535 pupils and students in Tanzania by providing essential learning materials at the start of the 2026 school year.
The initiative was carried out in two phases:
4th January 2026: 715 learners benefited
11th January 2026: 820 learners benefited
Materials Distributed
50 boxes of Msomi exercise books (5,000 books)
50 boxes of Quire Two counter books (2,400 books)
50 boxes of Quire Three counter books (1,900 books)
500 school bags for primary school pupils
Community & Parental Involvement
Parents and guardians actively participated in the distribution process, verifying beneficiaries, receiving guidance on supporting their children’s learning, and committing to proper use of materials. This engagement strengthened transparency, accountability, and community ownership.
