The Desk and Chair Foundation have donated 150 fruit trees to Mwanza

The Desk and Chair Foundation have donated 150 fruit trees 🌲 to Mwanza Seketoure Referal Hospital. These will be planted by volunteers from PERFUME NGO GROUP who are also cleaning the hospital on the same day.

These trees will enable to create a better and colorful environment at the referral hospital that caters for almost 700 patients per day. Most of these patients are poor citizens from surrounding villages and districts of Mwanza Region.

The medical doctor in charge thanked for this donation and assured to take necessary care until they have grown properly

The fruit tree supplied were paw paw,oranges,Evacado,
Tangerines and mangoes.

We thank the donors for their support to do this important activity on this important day.

The Desk and Chair Foundation have handed over eight high class outpatient toilets

The Desk and Chair Foundation have handed over eight high-class outpatient toilets to the Mwanza Regional Referral Seketoure hospital.

This first phase of eight toilets were handed over to the medical doctor in charge. These were
Fully tiled with 5000 liters of water reserve tank, store with one-year utility supply, hand washing sinks and dust bins with all necessary supplies.

The hospital had only four toilets and one uriner which was not enough of the present influx of 500 patients every day.

The construction of these eight toilets took only four weeks to complete.

The second phase will comprise of 12 more totaling to 20 toilets.
One such toilet is connected to normal sewerage costs tshs 2.5m/- and if connected to a septic tank costs tshs 3m/- TZ shillings.

These toilets were funded by WELFARE AID INTERNATIONAL OF AUSTRALIA.
The recipients all thanked the donors for their timely assistance.

The Desk and Chair Foundation was handed over a certificate of appreciation by BINTI FILAMU FOUNDATION

On 8th March 2019, marking the International women’s Day, The Desk and Chair Foundation was handed over a certificate of appreciation by BINTI FILAMU FOUNDATION for activities that are empowering the women,widows ,single mothers and their children.

TDCF had supported different women activities like open seminars,exhibitions of different goods they make at home and also a stall was kept to create awareness regarding hydrocephalus and spinabidifida related problems.

TDCF had printed information leaflets in Kiswahili language and were distributed in today’s very well attended program.

Due to the big gatherings, we had kept and sponsored an outreach blood donation camp and we collected 88 units of blood.

Hon Antony John Mtaka’s unannounced courtesy visit to The Desk and Chair Foundation Offices in Mwanza.

Hon Antony John Mtaka the Regional Commissioner of the new Simiyu region paid an unannounced courtesy visit to The Desk and Chair Foundation Offices in Mwanza.

He specifically came to thank the organization for their recent projects in the region mainly the digging of shallow wells,village hut solar lighting systems,and solar system installed in the Nassa health center in Nyashimo village.

He was shown different ways being used to promote and create awareness to the public about blood donation outreach camps,very recent project of manufacturing of briquettes charcoal, desks, the building of toilets in public places and assisting the disabled people.

He also congratulated the organization for its economic upliftment project of providing ten goats to family as goats keeping projects.

TDCF is very grateful to the well-wishers and donors for making this recognition possible

An independent Shia center in the lake zone that caters for orphans and children leaving in hardship conditions receives monthly food subsidy from a donor from DAR es salaam through TDCF. From this orphanage, many children go to nearby government schools and also get religious education. May ALLAH repay the donors abundantly here and hereafter IA.

A wheelchair and a pair of clutches were handed over to Mrs KZ and Mr CK

A wheelchair and a pair of clutches were handed over to Mrs KZ and Mr CK. Mrs KZ is a polio victim and in stays Geita region some 126 km from Mwanza. Both the wheel chair and a pair of clutches are donations received from M V LATEST NEWS WHATS UP GROUP. Arrangements are being made to support Mr C bus transport and one week accommodation to Muhimbili hospital where free prosthetic limbs are offered. Bother the recipients were sincerely thank full to the donors.

Wheelchair no 437 donated by Saiyed Haider Alshaiks was handed over to Mr JS who is from Busega District

Wheelchair no 437 donated by Saiyed Haider Alshaiks was handed over to Mr JS who is from Busega District. Mr JS was involved in a car accident in 2015 and since then he has been bed bound. The wheelchair assisted will now help him to come out in the sunshine and also attend a nearby church for Sunday service. He and the family thanked the donors for their generosity.

TDCF supports the following projects

TDCF supports the following projects :

1) Three TRICYCLE’s were handed over to deserving physically challenged people.
2) 40 goats were handed over to 4 families as goats rearing project or economic upliftment project.
3) One walking frame was handed over to 80 years women who were advised to use one by her doctor.
4) Two bicycles were handed over as education support to two secondary school students.
5) Two patients were provided with prosthetics limbs.
6) 72 poor families were assisted with food packages that will last them a month each of them.
7) Several sick peoples were visited and assisted with medicines and payments of hospital bills.

Shallow well no 395 was today handed over to villagers of Machazo

Shallow well no 395 was today handed over to villagers of Machazo village in Simbo Ward in Kigoma district.

About 120 families (600 people ) and a local mosque nearby the well will benefit from this well on daily basis. This well which has plenty of water was handed over in the loving memories of late Mrs Zainabbai Hussain Abdulrasul Mehrali Dewji. The villagers were sincerely thankful to the donors for assistance of this well that was desperately needed and prayed for the Marhuma to rest in eternal peace
