Water Well No. 883 Handed Over in Mbeya Region, Tanzania
On 15 December 2025, Water Well No. 883 was officially handed over to the community of Nyangasada Sub-village, Isinura Village, Mawindi Ward, Mbarali District, Mbeya Region.
This well now provides reliable access to clean and safe water for 56 families, benefiting an estimated 532 people on a daily basis. For the community, the well represents more than water -it is a foundation for improved health, dignity, sanitation, and socio-economic wellbeing.
Well No. 883 is one of four water wells handed over in Mbeya Region, forming part of a broader initiative to address water scarcity and strengthen community resilience through sustainable water infrastructure.
The well has been donated in the name of Hazrat Abbas (A.S.), honoring values of sacrifice, compassion, and service to humanity. Each day, as water flows from this well, it contributes to disease prevention, reduced time spent fetching water-especially for women and children-and enhanced quality of life for the entire community.
This handover reaffirms a continued commitment to community-driven development, ensuring that access to clean water remains a fundamental right rather than a privilege.
