WELL NO 876
Well No. 876 Bungulwa, Kwimba District, Mwanza Region
A Source of Life and Legacy
On 10th November 2025, the community of Ng’hulwa Subvillage, Bungulwa Village, Bungulwa Ward in Kwimba District, Mwanza Region celebrated the official handover of Well No. 876.
This well now provides safe, clean water to 57 families and 362 people daily, improving health, saving time, and enhancing livelihoods.
It was donated by a well-wisher in loving memory of:
Marhum Abdallah Mohamed
MRH Ramzanbhai Abdallah Mohamed
Aziz Abdallah Mohamed
Their legacy continues to serve the community, turning remembrance into tangible, life-giving action.
In line with the SDGs and Tanzania Vision 2050
Well No. 876 contributes to key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
SDG 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation: Safe and reliable water access.
SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-Being: Reducing waterborne diseases.
SDG 5 – Gender Equality: Empowering women and girls by reducing water-fetching burdens.
SDG 13 – Climate Action: Building community resilience.
SDG 17 -Partnerships for the Goals: Collaboration among donors, communities, and organizations.
This aligns with Tanzania Vision 2050, promoting inclusive development, improved rural infrastructure, and sustainable community welfare.
The handover took place around 27 Rabi al-Awwal 1447 AH — a month commemorating the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his noble family, the Ahlul Bayt (A.S.).
Shia teachings remind us that:
“The best of people are those who bring the greatest benefit to others.” – Imam Ali (A.S.)
This well is a form of sadaqah jariyah (everlasting charity), providing daily blessings to the community in the memory of loved ones.
Well No. 876 is more than a water source -it is a living legacy. Every drop nourishes bodies, uplifts spirits, and honours the memory of those who gave selflessly.
It demonstrates how individual generosity can align with global goals and national visions, creating a ripple effect of impact for generations to come.
“A drop of water today becomes a river of blessings tomorrow.”
