WELL DONATION ANNOUNCEMENT
We are delighted to share that Well No. 813 was handed over on 7th February 2025. This well was donated by Bande Khuda in loving memory of Bibi Sakina (a) and Hazrat Abbas (a), in coordination with Nudba Group of Toronto.
This well is located in Kilengezi Subvillage, Dala Village, Mvuha Ward, Morogoro District Council, Morogoro Region. Currently, it provides clean and safe water to 438 families and 2,000 individuals on a daily basis making a significant and sustainable impact on their health, dignity, and well-being.
This project directly contributes to Sustainable Development Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and Sustainable Development Goal 1 (No Poverty) by reducing water-related hardships and freeing up time for education and income-generating activities. It also resonates with SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), demonstrating the power of collaboration across borders from donors in Toronto to community members in Morogoro.
The community played a key role in making this well a reality by offering their labor, securing the site, and participating in its maintenance. Local technicians and youth were involved in its construction, employing their skills and gaining valuable experience in delivering sustainable water solutions for their community.
We sincerely appreciate the kindness, generosity, and compassion of Bande Khuda and Nudba Group of Toronto, and we celebrate the collective spirit and hard work of the community in turning this project into a lifelong blessing for many.
