WELL 814: A GIFT FOR SUSTAINABLE CHANGE
We are delighted to share the completion of Well 814 in Kilengezi Subvillage, Dala Village, Mvuha Ward, Morogoro District, Morogoro Region. This well was handed over on 7th February 2025 and was donated by Bande Khuda in memory of Qasim Ibne Hassan (a) in coordination with Nudba Group of Toronto.
This well is more than just a water point – it is a lifeline for the community. Currently, 438 families benefit directly from this well, and approximately 2,000 people enjoy its clean water every day.
Local community members, especially youth and trained community technicians, were involved in its construction, reflecting the collective spirit of unity, service, and compassion. This resonates strongly with Shia Muslim teachings which promote kindness, justice, generosity, and care for the vulnerable while honoring the memory of Qasim Ibne Hassan (a).
The well also contributes directly toward Sustainable Development Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), ensuring universal access to clean water a crucial step toward improving health, education, gender equity, and the overall well-being of the community.
Together, we celebrate this new well as a manifestation of shared responsibility, compassion, and sustainable transformation for generations to come.
