Well No. 876 Bungulwa, Kwimba District, Mwanza Region

A Source of Life and Legacy

On 10th November 2025, the community of Ng’hulwa Subvillage, Bungulwa Village, Bungulwa Ward in Kwimba District, Mwanza Region celebrated the official handover of Well No. 876.

This well now provides safe, clean water to 57 families and 362 people daily, improving health, saving time, and enhancing livelihoods.

It was donated by a well-wisher in loving memory of:

Marhum Abdallah Mohamed
MRH Ramzanbhai Abdallah Mohamed
Aziz Abdallah Mohamed

Their legacy continues to serve the community, turning remembrance into tangible, life-giving action.

In line with the SDGs and Tanzania Vision 2050

Well No. 876 contributes to key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
SDG 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation: Safe and reliable water access.
SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-Being: Reducing waterborne diseases.
SDG 5 – Gender Equality: Empowering women and girls by reducing water-fetching burdens.

SDG 13 – Climate Action: Building community resilience.
SDG 17 -Partnerships for the Goals: Collaboration among donors, communities, and organizations.

This aligns with Tanzania Vision 2050, promoting inclusive development, improved rural infrastructure, and sustainable community welfare.

The handover took place around 27 Rabi al-Awwal 1447 AH — a month commemorating the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his noble family, the Ahlul Bayt (A.S.).

This well is a form of sadaqah jariyah (everlasting charity), providing daily blessings to the community in the memory of loved ones.

It demonstrates how individual generosity can align with global goals and national visions, creating a ripple effect of impact for generations to come.

10 Wells Rehabilitated in Morogoro: Bringing Clean Water to the Community

Access to clean and safe water is a fundamental human need, yet many communities in Morogoro face ongoing challenges in securing it. Thanks to the generosity of dedicated donors and the coordination of Nudba Group, 10 wells across Ngerengere Ward, Morogoro District have recently been rehabilitated, providing relief and hope to hundreds of families.

Each well serves dozens of families daily, supplying clean water that is essential for health, education, and overall well-being. The donors, honoring the memories of loved ones or giving for Thawab, have left a lasting legacy that directly benefits the community.

Impact of the Wells:

Well No. 840, Kiburumo sub-village: 34 families (189 people) – Donated in honor of the Ahmad Al Rubayee family, coordinated with Nudba Group of Toronto.

Well No. 864, Njia Nne sub-village: 38 families (212 people) – Donated by Hassan and Nargis Abdul Hussein, coordinated with Nudba Group.

Well No. 867, Ngerengere Ward: 42 families (255 people) -Rehabilitated in memory of [honored person/family], coordinated with Nudba Group.

Well No. 868, Mgude sub-village: 40 families (278 people) – Donated by the family of Marhum Amirali HD Kermali, coordinated with Nudba Group.

Well No. 869, Mgude sub-village: 37 families (268 people) – Rehabilitated in honor of the Ahmad Al Rubayee family and Brother Ali Sajjad Sharifzada Muraj family, coordinated with Nudba Group of Toronto.

Well No. 870, Mgude sub-village: 29 families (140 people) -Developed in honor of Mohamed P, coordinated with Nudba Group of Toronto.

Well No. 871, Loliondo sub-village: 43 families (267 people) – Donated by Shawn, Mustafa, Liakatali Jaffer, Heena, and Basit Ali in memory of Marhumeen of Moledina Jaffer family and Ghulam Mehdi family, coordinated with Nudba Group.

Well No. 872, Ginda sub-village: 58 families (330 people) -Donated in memory of Marhum Kassim Mohamed and Hussein Rajabali Kassam, coordinated with Nudba Group.
Well No. 873, Kiburumo sub-village: 35 families (220 people) – Rehabilitated by Bande Khuda from Alberta, Canada, coordinated with Nudba Group.

Well No. 874, Ngerengere sub-village: 44 families (289 people) – Rehabilitated by Mumtaz Alibhai in memory of Marhum Azad Alibhai (Congo), coordinated with Nudba Group.

These rehabilitated wells not only restore access to water but also strengthen community resilience, improve health, and enhance daily life for residents. The collaboration between generous donors and Nudba Group demonstrates the profound impact of compassion and collective action, ensuring these communities have a reliable source of clean water for years to come.

Well No. 872 – Ginda Sub-village, Mgude Village, Ngerengere Ward, Morogoro District, Morogoro Region

In Ginda Sub-village, access to clean and safe water has always been a daily challenge for many families. Today, thanks to the generous efforts of our donors and the coordination with Nudba Group of Toronto, Well No. 872 has been rehabilitated, bringing relief and hope to the local community.

This well now serves 58 families, providing clean water to 330 people every day children, elders, and entire households who previously faced the hardship of walking long distances for water.

The Desk and Chair Foundation, in collaboration with community partners, is pleased to announce the successful rehabilitation of Well No. 840, located in Kiburumo Subvillage, Mgude Village, Ngerengere Ward, Morogoro District, Morogoro Region.

This well provides clean and safe water to approximately 34 families, benefiting an estimated 189 people on a daily basis. Access to clean water significantly improves health, hygiene, and overall well-being within the community, reducing the burden of waterborne diseases and the time spent fetching water from distant sources.

The rehabilitation of this well has been donated for Thawab and in honour of the Ahmad Al Rubayee family, in coordination with the Nudba Group of Toronto. This generous contribution reflects the spirit of compassion, unity, and global solidarity that continues to bring hope and transformation to rural communities across Tanzania.

In the quiet community of Mgude Subvillage, Ngerengere Ward, where the morning sun rises over golden fields, water has always been both a blessing and a burden. For many families, each day began with a long walk — buckets in hand, hope in their hearts — searching for clean water to sustain their homes.

Today, that story has changed.

Through the rehabilitation of Well No. 870, life has returned to the heart of the village. The well now serves 29 families, reaching about 140 people daily, offering them not just water, but dignity, health, and renewed hope.

This transformation was made possible in honour of Mohamed P, whose name now stands as a symbol of compassion and service — and through the unwavering partnership of the Nudba Group of Toronto, whose commitment continues to touch lives across oceans.

This well is among the 10 handed over in Morogoro Region, each one a reminder that when humanity comes together, even a single drop can ripple into a river of change.

In the serene landscape of Mabundi Village, a new chapter of hope has begun. Well No. 864 now stands as a symbol of compassion and humanity -bringing safe, clean, and accessible water to 38 families and 212 individuals every single day.

For years, the residents of Njia Nne Sub-village relied on unsafe water sources, often walking long distances under the scorching sun. Today, thanks to this well, the sound of flowing water has become a melody of relief, joy, and renewed dignity.

An Offering of Love: The Donors Behind the Change

This life-changing well has been donated by Hassan and Nargis Abdul Hussein, whose generous spirit reflects a deep understanding of faith in action.
Their contribution was made in coordination with the Nudba Group, whose ongoing partnership continues to bring transformation and sustainable progress to Tanzanian communities.
