Maendeleo Street, Morogoro DC,handed over 9th February 2025
The rehabilitation of Well Number 801, located at Maendeleo Street, Lukobe Ward, Morogoro District Council, in Morogoro Region, has brought renewed access to clean and safe water for the local community.
This well now benefits 46 families and serves approximately 230 people daily, significantly improving their quality of life.
This noble project has been generously donated in loving memory of Ambareen Zainab Kanani and Imaan Fatema Kanani, in coordination with the Nudba Group of Toronto. Their legacy lives on through this life-giving resource.
In remembrance of the tragedy of Karbala, we are reminded of the severe thirst endured by Imam Hussayn (a.s.), his family, and companions especially the children who were denied access to water for three days. This act of providing water is therefore more than charity; it is a sacred tribute to the values of compassion, sacrifice, and justice that Karbala stands for.
May this well be a source of both physical relief and spiritual reflection, and may it serve as sadaqah jariyah (continuous charity) for the departed souls.
