A GIFT OF WATER, A LEGACY OF LOVE:Well No. 798 Handed Over in Ng’hungu Subvillage

On the special occasion of the 20th Anniversary of the Nudba Group, a profound and life-giving gesture was made to honor a remarkable individual. Well No. 798, located in Ng’hungu Subvillage, Lali Village, Mataba Ward, Maswa District, Simiyu Region, was officially handed over on 14th May 2025, corresponding to 15th Dhu al-Qadah 1446 AH in the Shia Islamic calendar.

This well was lovingly dedicated for the thawab (eternal reward) of Brother Rizwan Khalfan, President of ISIJ Jamat, Toronto, in recognition of his leadership, service, and dedication to community welfare. It was a heartfelt gift from The Desk and Chair Foundation in collaboration with the Nudba Group, offered as a legacy of love, faith, and service.

A SPIRITUAL REFLECTION

“The best form of charity is to give water to drink.”- Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (a.s.)

Water is a gift from Allah essential to all life and sacred in its ability to purify, sustain, and connect. In Islam, providing water is one of the greatest forms of sadaqah jariyah (continuous charity), whose rewards flow even after one’s lifetime.

Honoring a Leader, Serving Humanity

Brother Rizwan Khalfan’s name is now forever etched in a source of life. This well stands not only as a physical structure but as a testament to the power of community, faith, and the noble mission of serving others.

We extend our deepest gratitude to The Desk and Chair Foundation and the Nudba Group for their continued commitment to uplifting communities in need. May this well continue to serve generations, and may the rewards reach the soul for whom it is dedicated.

Together, we draw water and hope from the same well of humanity.
