WELL NO 882
A Gift of Water, Dignity, and Life: Well No. 882 Handed Over in Isirura Village, Mbeya Region
Access to clean and reliable water is not merely a development milestone; it is a foundation of dignity, health, and community resilience. On 15 December 2025, this principle took tangible form in Kati Sub-village, Isirura Village, Mawindi Ward, Mbarali District, Mbeya Region, with the official handover of Well No. 882-a life-sustaining resource now serving hundreds of residents every day.
The well directly benefits 49 families, translating to approximately 390 people who now have daily access to safe water within their community. For households that previously relied on distant or unsafe water sources, this well represents a profound shift: reduced time spent fetching water, improved hygiene, better health outcomes, and renewed opportunities for children, women, and elders alike.
This water well has been donated in the name of Hazrat Hassan, standing as a lasting legacy of compassion and service to humanity. Beyond its physical structure, the well symbolizes shared responsibility, solidarity, and the enduring impact of charitable giving rooted in human values.
Importantly, Well No. 882 is one of four wells handed over in Mbeya Region, reflecting a broader commitment to addressing water insecurity in underserved rural communities. Together, these wells form a quiet yet powerful network of hope—each one transforming daily life, strengthening community bonds, and supporting local development.
Clean water is the first step toward sustainable livelihoods. It underpins public health, supports education by freeing children-especially girls-from long water journeys, and enables communities to focus on productivity rather than survival. In Isirura Village, the ripple effects of this well will be felt for generations.
As water flows from Well No. 882, so too does a message: that targeted, community-centred interventions can restore dignity, protect health, and unlock human potential. In Mbeya Region, this well is not just a source of water-it is a source of life.
