WELL NO. 853 – A GIFT OF LIFE TO THE COMMUNITY
Location:
Subvillage: Nyangasada
Village: Isunura
Ward: Mawindi
District: Mbarali
Region: Mbeya
Daily Beneficiaries: 49 families |
and 322 individuals
On 21st July 2025 (corresponding to 14th Muharram 1447 A.H. in the Shia Islamic calendar), Well No. 853 was officially handed over to the residents of Nyangasada subvillage in Isunura village. This well is one of the ten water projects donated in Mbeya Region, and it stands as a sacred symbol of mercy, love, and the shared responsibility to care for one another as part of the human family.
The well was donated through Islamic Humanitarian Service as a form of Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity), in loving memory of:
*Marhum Nazarali Alibhai Panju
*Marhuma Surgabai Juma Jetha
*Marhum Husein Nazarali A. Panju
Water, a divine blessing mentioned repeatedly in the Holy Qur’an, is the essence of life. Allah says:
“And We made from water every living thing.” (Qur’an, 21:30)
In donating this well, the spirit of Rahmah (mercy), Barakah (blessing), and Ihsan (excellence in kindness) flows as freely as the water it provides.
This act of generosity reflects the sacred responsibility of humanity to protect and uplift one another regardless of race, religion, or status. Rooted in both Islamic teachings and African communal traditions, this well represents a bridge between faith-based philanthropy and Ubuntu – the African philosophy that declares, “I am because we are.”
In African culture, water is not just a necessity-it is a symbol of peace, hospitality, and healing. Providing clean water uplifts communities, enhances dignity, and ensures better health outcomes, particularly for children, women, and the elderly.
This well will continue to benefit generations, serve as a reminder of shared humanity, and inspire others to give selflessly for the common good. Through such noble deeds, the memories of the departed are honored in the most dignified way-by sustaining life.
May Allah (SWT) accept this offering and elevate the ranks of the departed souls, and may it inspire global citizens to uphold the sacred trust of caring for one another. Ameen.
