Date Handed Over: 21st July 2025
Beneficiaries: 68 families | Over 520 individuals daily
We are pleased to announce the successful installation and official handover of Well No. 836 in Kati Subvillage, located in the rural heart of Mbarali District, Mbeya Region. This well now provides clean, safe, and accessible water to over 520 people each day transforming lives through improved health, dignity, and daily convenience.
This water project was donated in loving memory of Marhum Abbas Hussein Jetha and Shirin Bai Jetha, as a meaningful act of Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity) in accordance with Islamic values. In the words of Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (a.s.):
“The best form of charity is giving water.”(Wasā’il al-Shīʿa, vol. 6, p. 292)
Rooted in the spiritual principles of the Shia faith and the legacy of the Ahlul Bayt (a.s.), this act reflects a deep commitment to community service and the alleviation of human suffering.
Alignment with Global Development Goals
This project contributes directly to several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation – Ensuring universal access to safe and affordable drinking water
Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being – Reducing waterborne diseases through safe water access
Goal 1: No Poverty – Reducing the burden of water collection and supporting livelihoods
Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities – Addressing rural infrastructure gaps in underserved communities
Appreciation to the Donors
We extend our deepest gratitude and prayers to the family of Marhum Abbas Hussein Jetha and Shirin Bai Jetha for their visionary and compassionate contribution. Their donation not only honors the memory of their loved ones but also uplifts an entire community. It stands as a lasting testimony to the power of giving, rooted in both faith and global solidarity.
May their souls continue to receive abundant blessings, and may this well serve as a source of mercy and reward for generations to come.
