Well No. 832 A Gift of Life for Masanga (B), Maswa

Well No. 832 A Gift of Life for Masanga (B), Maswa

On 14th May 2025 (corresponding to 15th Dhul-Qa’dah 1446 A.H. in the Shia Islamic calendar), a precious gift of clean water was handed over to the community of Masanga (B) Subvillage, Lali Village, Mataba Ward, Maswa District, Simiyu Region.

This shallow well, now officially recognized as Well No. 832, is a life-changing donation from Mr. Roshanali Versi and Mrs. Mehrunisa Versi of Dar es Salaam. Through their generous act of sadaqah jariyah (continuous charity), they have brought daily access to clean water for approximately 25 families and 250 individuals in this rural community.

The handover took place on 15th Dhul-Qa’dah, a date revered in the Shia Islamic calendar as it falls within the Sacred Month of Dhul-Qa’dah, known for peace and spiritual reflection. It is also just days before the birth anniversary (Wiladat) of Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Ridha (a.s.), the 8th Imam of the Shia Muslim community, traditionally commemorated on 11th Dhul-Qa’dah ,a time often associated with acts of kindness and giving.

By providing this well, the Versi family has not only quenched physical thirst but also illuminated the values of compassion and community upliftment. The donation stands as a tribute to their enduring commitment to humanity, aligning perfectly with the Shia teachings of serving the less fortunate, especially during the spiritually significant months.

May this noble act bring barakah (blessings) to the donors and serve as a lasting source of thawab (reward) in both worlds.
