PROVIDING CLEAN WATER AND EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES: The Story of Well No 816

PROVIDING CLEAN WATER AND EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES: The Story of Well No 816

Access to clean water is a key foundation for health, dignity, and opportunity and it’s a blessing that many communities still lack. At Desk and Chair Foundation, we are passionate about turning this need into a reality, one well at a time.

Well Number 816 stands as a testament to this mission.

Located in Kilengezi Subvillage, Dala Village, Mvuha Ward, Morogoro District, in the Morogoro Region of Tanzania, this well is a lifeline for the community. Currently, 438 families approximately 2,000 people benefit from its clean water every day. The well not only provides water for drinking and cooking but also helps ease the daily struggles related to health, sanitation, and overall well-being.

This well was donated by Bande Khuda in memory of Mawla Ali Akbar (a) and Mawla Ali Asgher (a), in coordination with Nudba Group of Toronto. The well was officially handed over on 7th February 2025 in a ceremony filled with hope, unity, and renewal.

One of the most powerful aspects of this well is its role in educating and empowering the community. Local members are encouraged to care for and maintain their well, fostering a spirit of responsibility, collaboration, and sustainable water management. This approach helps create a deep sense of ownership and guarantees that the well will continue to serve future generations.

We warmly invite more donors, friends, and supporters to join us in extending this blessing to additional communities in need. Each well brings health, happiness, dignity, and a chance for a better future and together, we can make a profound and lasting difference in the lives of many.
