TDCF gifted a pickup load of non-perishable foods stuff to NIFO HOPE CENTER

The Desk and Chair Foundation today 17/12/19 gifted a pickup load of non-perishable foods stuff to NIFO HOPE CENTER run under NITETEE FOUNDATION of Mwanza City that caters for orphans and children living in severe hardships conditions.

The center provides all basic needs of life to these children and TDCF has provided all children with health insurance just Incase if the need arises.

These children now with good food supply will be able to celebrate coming Christmas šŸŽ„ and new year celebrations like any all the other well off children and also attend the school comfortably with the assurance of reasonable good three meals per day.

We thank the donors and the well-wishers for their continued support to assist the less privileged people and create hope of better lives for them

Wheelchair no 458

Wheelchair no 458 was handed over to Mr JM from Misungwi district. He suffers from cerebral palsy and his legs and hands are extremely weak though he attends medical clinics for physiotherapy. His father thanked the donors for their assistance as due to weight of the child sometimes they hesitated to take him to hospital, school and Sunday church.

Now the father has said he will make sure his son goes to a nearby special needs school as the wheelchair will make his mobility easy.

Wheelchair no 459

7-year-old Miss JN who was diagnosed at the village health center of severe disability.

Wheelchair no 459 was handed over to her for easy mobility long distances movement as by nature of her disability. The wheelchair will help her from further damage and also help her visit different places like church, medical clinics, and nearby special needs school.

The parents thanked the donors for the wheelchair as they had never dreamt to own one for their daughter and make her life easy.

Shallow well no 362

Shallow no 362 was handed over at a Health Center in Kiburumo sub village in Ngerengere village in Morogoro District. This health center and neighborhood will now have a constant water supply and in future we will instal a submersible electric pump with 5000 reserves tank for better water facility at the health center. We thank the annonimous well wishers from Dar es salaam for sponsoring this well at the health center as water supply will be more easily available and health facilities will be improved.

Shallow well no 364

Shallow well no 364 was handed over to villagers of Mgude Village In Ngerengere Ward in Morogoro Ward in Morogoro district. The well that will benefit about 600 people on a daily basis has been sponsored by a well-wisher from Dar es Salaam.
The villagers were thankful to the donor and prayed for his well being Yesterday and today TDCF has managed to hand over ten shallow wells in Morogoro Districts where in some areas there is an acute shortage of water.

Shallow well no 439

Shallow well no 439 was handed over to Mgude Villagers in Ngerengere Ward in Morogoro District on Saturday 30/11/2019.

The funds for this shallow well was raised by Mr Ian Hope by cycling 870 miles in France in August 2019. This shallow well of clean and safe water will serve 320 people of the village on daily basis. The well will help the villagers to reduce to a great extent the water related diseases that was rampant prior to the well especially with the children.

The villagers and the village leadership thanked and congratulated Mr Ian Hope for his tremendous achievement of life by completing the cycle ride and the funds raised will now help the Mgude villagers for years to come to drink and use safe and clean water.

Wheelchair no 457

Mr IML was handed over with brand new wheelchair no 457 on Friday 6/12/19. Mr I was hit on his head some four years back and was paralyzed and became wheelchair-bound. His first wheelchair was assisted by TDCF some three years back and since it was completely worn out we have replaced with a brand new one. The photo of the state of the previous one is also shown. The wheelchair has been donated by the family in the loving memories of late MR & MRS SHARIFF WALJI and Masum Sharif walji one time all of them residents and pioneers of Mwanza.

May Allah rest them in peace and amongst HIS chosen ones.

Shallow well no 436

To day Sunday 15/12/19 shallow well no 436 was handed over to villagers of Karumo in Sengerema district in Mwanza region.

Karumo villager is about 20km away both ways after crossing the Kamanga ferry. 1000 primary school students,108 vocational training students, and fifty nearby families will benefit from the well on a daily basis. According to village leadership the well will help in reducing constant water contaminated related diseases like bilharzia, diarrhea, and accidents like drowning in lakes or attacks by animals like hippos and alligators.

The well was donated by youths of HUSSEIN INSPIRES GROUP OF MUSLIM COMMUNITY OF K S I (MWANZA ) Jamaat and some of the members of the group were present and witnessed the handing over ceremony.

800 I C H I F HEALTH INSURANCE CARDS was handed over the villagers of Nyashimo village, Busega District in new Simiyu Region

A deep water system with two tricycles, two wheelchairs and 300 plastic organizer trays and 800 I C H I F HEALTH INSURANCE CARDS was handed over the villagers of Nyashimo village, Busega District in new Simiyu Region.
The guest of Honor was the District Commissioner for Busega district who thanked the desk and chair foundation for their tireless efforts to eradicate poverty in the villages.
The DC s Office honored TDCF with certificate of appreciation and assured full support in our future project in the area. The program was well attended and all villagers appreciated for the clean and safe water.

From this deep well the water can now each a nearby health center and other two stand pipes for the villagers. The total cost of the project start to finish is tshs 20m/- with 10,000 liters water reserve tank, a solar-powered submersible pump and piping network for the water to reach 3 different areas.

We thank the donors for their continued support.Today’s activity has been one of the best to propagate the birth of the Holy Prophet of Islam.

Tricycle no 441

Tricycle no 441 was handed over Mr MR who comes from Kirumba area in Mwanza City. Munda lost his tricycle in recent floods in Mwanza and miraculously is life was saved. He is phisically challenged since his childhood and gets his lively hood by making handicrafts and sells them to in street. His father and colleagues were sincerely thankful to the donors for their timely support.

The tricycle has been donated by the Bikedepot company of Toronto Canada.
