Installing Solar Lights Sets In Mud Bricks And Grass Roofed Huts

Today 8/6/2021 TDCF have resumed installing solar lights sets in mud bricks and grass roofed huts in the villages around Mwanza region

This exercise was temporarily suspended due to heavy rains and many inside village roads being not passable

Today we managed to install in 9 huts at NYANGUGE village in Magu district in Mwanza region

By end of June 2021 we will have installed almost 300 huts since we first started this project last year

The recipients benefit a lot from this small donation of about tshs 175,000/= for @ set

-They save on kerosene, about tshs 30,000/= every month

– No more inhaling of strong kerosene fumes
– No more fumes related ailments like coughing, red burning eyes
– No more smoke odour and no more heavy breathing environment or pollution
More fresh breathing air full time

– Better communication within the family
-mobile phones can be charged and generate income for the family
– More time for children to study at night hence uplifting tremendously their school performances and girls are now more secured

Well no 556 was handed over to residents of TUSHIKAMANE WARD in Rukibe village in Morogoro District
200 families leaving near and around the wells will benefit on daily basis from the wells

Morogoro District is one area that has severe water problems especially during the drought period which has just started
This well has been donated by CITY PRINTERS OF DARESSALAAM in loving memories of people listed on the plaque
The recipients were sincerely thanking the donors and prayed for the well being of them and their families

Well no 544 donated by Afzel family of Sidney Australia was handed over to residents of TUSHIKAME A area in Morogoro district
This well in one of the eight wells handed over in different areas with severe water shortage in the district
This well will serve more that 100 people on daily basis of this basic need of life
The recipients were very happy and thanked the donors for this timely assistance as now severe drought period has just started

‘TDCF is helping to fund motorbike ambulance for remote villages so they can transfer ill patients or pregnant ladies to local health centres. Without these motorbike ambulances, patients have to walk a long way or travel by bicycles ‘

Well no 549 was handed over to the villagers of Fumagira in Nyanguge district
This very old well was rehabilitated by donors through the efforts of women’s group of Dua e Nudba group of Toronto Canada
The villagers were thankful to the donors for their timely assistance as the area is heading towards drought period soon
This well will serve 360 families ie about 1800 people

This well will serve 420 families ie about 2100 people leaving around the village

‘TDCF builds a waiting area for patients and their families at Sekoutoure Hospital in Mwanza. Previously, patients and family members used to sit under the shade of trees or under the sun. This waiting area can comfortably sit 300 people. These is also a TV installed for public education messages’.
