Hope in Every Drop: Care Aid Africa Foundation in partnership with The Desk and Chair Foundation Donates Well No. 834 to Serve Over 2,400 People in Kagera
In a powerful gesture of compassion and commitment to humanity, Care Aid Africa Foundation has once again extended its support to communities in need through the donation of Well No. 834, now serving thousands in Kagera Region.
Strategically located in Kibalama – Omulishenyi Subvillage, Rwagati Village, Kemondo Ward, Bukoba District Council, this newly constructed well was handed over on 25th May 2025. It is now a life-changing source of clean and safe water for over 600 families and approximately 2,400 people every single day.
For many years, residents of this community struggled with access to clean water. They relied on distant or unsafe water sources, which posed serious health risks and consumed valuable time—especially for women and children. The donation of this well by Care Aid Africa Foundation has marked the beginning of a new chapter one defined by health, dignity, and opportunity.
“This well is not just a structure it is a gift of life and freedom. We sincerely thank Care Aid Africa Foundation for seeing us, valuing us, and responding to our needs,” said a local elder during the handover ceremony.
Empowering Through Water
The well has already started bringing significant improvements in the lives of the people:
Public Health: Reducing the incidence of waterborne diseases
Education: Allowing children more time to attend school
Women’s Empowerment: Freeing women from hours spent fetching water and enabling them to participate in income-generating activities
Community Development: Supporting local resilience and well-being
This impactful donation aligns with Tanzania’s development priorities and contributes directly to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6: Clean Water and Sanitation for All.
A Legacy of Love
The donation of Well No. 834 is part of Care Aid Africa Foundation’s broader mission to uplift underserved communities with dignity and sustainability. It is a testament to how thoughtful philanthropy can create long-term impact.
