A Shia Legacy of Eternal Giving
A Tribute to Faith, Family, and Sustainable Development
On the 24th of May 2025, a life-giving well was officially handed over to the community of Simba Subvillage, Nyelegete Village, Rujewa Ward, Mbarali District, in Mbeya Region. Located at Nyelegete Secondary School, the well now serves 172 students and 5 dedicated teachers, providing clean and safe water every single day.
WELL NO. 820 is more than just a source of water , it is a source of Barakah, hope, and dignity.
This noble project was donated by Dr. Shaukat Hussain in loving memory of his nephews, Imtiaz Jaffer and Musharraf (Effy) Gaffer, both of whom are remembered with deep affection and reverence.
May Allah (SWT) rest their souls in eternal peace and grant them the highest ranks in Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen.
Sadaqah Jariyah:《The Endless Reward》
In the spirit of the Ahlul Bayt (a.s.), who lived lives of selfless service, this act of charity is a living embodiment of Sadaqah Jariyah — a continuous charity whose reward flows long after we return to our Lord.
Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (a.s.) said:
● “When a believer dies, his actions come to an end except three:
Knowledge he taught and spread, a righteous child who prays for him, and a sadaqah jariyah whose benefit continues after him.”
(Bihar al-Anwar, vol. 6, p. 294)
A water well, especially at a school, continues to educate, heal, and uplift day after day, year after year. Every drop used by a student is a prayer, a dua, a silent salawat for the donor’s soul.
Supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
This donation also contributes directly to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, especially:
Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation
Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being
Goal 4: Quality Education
Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities
Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals
As Shia Muslims, we are called not only to serve our communities but to contribute meaningfully to global justice and sustainability a core value echoed in the teachings of Imam Ali (a.s.), the father of social justice.
A Call to Action: Be Part of This Living Legacy
Dear brothers and sisters,
In honoring our marhumeen, let us continue this path of mercy. There are countless schools, villages, and health centers still struggling without clean water. By donating a well, you not only honor your loved ones, but you also participate in a divine partnership with Allah — building a legacy that earns reward even after you’ve left this world.
Let your charity flow like water ♡♡♡ giving life, healing hearts, and writing your name among those who served humanity.
