“Whoever saves a life, it is as if he had saved all mankind.”
(Qur’an, 5:32)

In the heart of Kwimba District, amidst a landscape once marked by scarcity, Well No. 857 now flows as a sacred stream of mercy. Donated by a devoted believer and facilitated by World Federation Aid—the humanitarian arm of the World Federation of Khoja Shia Ithna-Asheri Muslim Communities-this well is not just infrastructure. It is an offering to Allah, a testament to faith, and a reflection of the divine command to serve humanity.

Handed over on 29th Dhul Hijjah 1446 A.H., one day before the beginning of the new Islamic year, this well carries immense spiritual symbolism-a renewal of life, intention, and collective barakah.

As part of a series of four wells handed over in the Kwimba District, this particular source now quenches the thirst of 74 families and 504 individuals daily. It is a living Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity), rewarding the soul of the donor and illuminating the path of service for generations to come.

“And give water to the thirsty, it is a trust upon you.”
– Imam Ja‘far al-Sadiq (a.s.)

♡“The most beloved of deeds to Allah is to bring happiness to the heart of a believer… and to quench his thirst.”
– Imam Ali (a.s.)
This blessed act fulfills both the call of the Ahlul Bayt (a.s.) and the global commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation. Yet beyond the developmental lens, it is an act of divine proximity (qurbatan ilallah)-a reminder that the purest form of worship is found in serving others.
