Well No. 791 Brings New Life to Mlimani Subvillage
We are proud to announce the successful handover of Well No. 791, a life-changing project delivered to the residents of Mlimani Subvillage, located in Katunguru Village, under Sengerema District Council, Mwanza Region.
This vital water source was officially handed over on Saturday, November 2024, and is now serving as a daily lifeline to the local community.
With 85 families and approximately 460 people benefiting from the well each day, the impact has been immediate and profound. Residents now have access to clean, safe water—right in their own community. The days of walking long distances in search of water are over, replaced by new opportunities for education, health, and economic productivity.
Before the well’s installation, Mlimani residents struggled with limited access to safe drinking water, often relying on unsafe sources that exposed families to waterborne diseases. The burden of fetching water, often shouldered by women and children, affected school attendance, family care, and income-generating activities.
Today, the scene has changed. The well stands as a symbol of hope, health, and dignity. Children are attending school on time, mothers are engaging in productive work, and the community at large is thriving with renewed energy and optimism.
Well No. 791 is more than just a water project—it is a promise fulfilled, a future secured, and a testament to the power of community development.
