The Desk and Chair Foundation Hands Over Water Well No. 773 at Butimba Prison – Mwanza
The Desk and Chair Foundation has officially handed over Water Well No. 773, a deep well providing clean and safe water, to Butimba Prison in Mwanza.
The project includes:
-2 new large water tanks
-Renovation of 3 old tanks
-Installation of 5 smaller tanks
Total water storage capacity: 55,000 liters, serving up to 3,000 people daily.
The foundation also donated equipment to initiate an Adult Education program for inmates.
The Prison Commander expressed sincere gratitude, highlighting that the project will help reduce water costs and improve inmate health. The Foundation thanked the prison leadership for their support and extended heartfelt appreciation to all donors.
